About Pacifik Coffee

A great cup of coffee shouldn’t be hard to come by, but too often you’re forced to make a decision. You either have to pick convenience over quality, or venture into a snobbish world of complicated coffee science. Why do you have to choose?

At Pacifik Coffee, our goal is clear: make high quality coffee easy and approachable. Your at-home coffee should be affordable, easy to make, and still feel like a moment of luxury in a busy day.

My name is Chris, and in 2017 my wife and I decided to launch Pacifik Coffee. I wanted to learn all I could about roasting coffee so I could make a great product and share my knowledge in a relatable way. At Pacifik Coffee, there are three core values that drive us: family, community, and global impact.

Family

Growing up, my parents taught me the value of hard work and entrepreneurship. Being part-Hawaiian, I have many great memories of visiting my huge Asian Pacific family on the island of Oahu. With multiple generations living together and passing down their heritage, it meant a lot to have a place to belong and a supportive family.

Now, with three kids of my own, I want to pass on those values. Running my own business means I have to face the challenge of building something through grit and determination, while also investing in time with my wife and kids. At times the push & pull can be difficult, but I wouldn’t want it any other way.

When you buy Pacifik Coffee, you’re not just buying coffee. You’re also supporting a family-owned business with a direct impact on our lives. For that, I’m extremely grateful!

Community

Eugene, Oregon is home. It’s hard to beat living in a college town with great football (go Ducks!), lots of outdoor activities, and easy access to some of the most beautiful places in the country. But what really makes Eugene home is the community of friends, family, and local business partners.

I’m a small business owner. My parents were small business owners. “Buying local,” isn’t just a marketing cliche. When you intentionally buy from a local business, you’re putting resources directly back into a community to help it thrive and grow.

Global Impact

To put it simply: you should know where your coffee comes from, and who grew it. When I buy coffee beans, I make a point to know what farms they come from, and share that information with you. That’s why our product pages also include information about the geography and the producers who had a part in bringing your coffee to your home.

As Pacifik Coffee grows, I look forward to an increasing impact we’ll have together in helping families and communities around the world grow. If you’d like to know more about where your coffee comes from, please ask me!
